Nan Yang Chicken Rice is widely appreciated for its flavorful and well-prepared dishes, particularly the chicken rice, char siew, and siew yoke, which are often praised for their texture and taste. Customers highlight the tender chicken, fragrant rice, and crispy roasted pork, though occasional feedback points to some variation in rice fragrance and seasoning balance. The wantan noodles and wantans receive positive remarks for their quality and homemade feel. The restaurant’s air-conditioned environment provides a comfortable dining experience, complemented by attentive and friendly staff, enhancing the overall atmosphere. While some minor inconsistencies are noted, the general consensus reflects a satisfying and reliable option for quick, tasty meals in Taman Setapak Indah.

Had breakfast here this morning and really enjoyed it. The char siew was tasty and not dry, the roasted pork was crispy, and the chicken rice was fragrant with tender chicken. Simple, satisfying food and a good place for a quick breakfast.

One of my fave wantan noodle places to go to. The noodles are fairly decent but their char siew is really nice especially with the cuts with both fat and lean meat. The one in the pic here didn't have as much fat so make sure mention to their staff upon order if you like a good ratio of meat to fat. The best thing about their wantan noodles are non other then their wantans. You get 2 wantans per portion which are larger wantans then regular everyday hawker stalls. What's special about their wantans is that every wantan has a prawn in it. Not sure whether it's half a prawn but the presence of the prawn is definitely there together with the nicely seasoned pork mince. Every bite of the wantan just burst with juiciness from the prawns and pork. Super delicious and definitely a craving I have every now and then. #wantanmee #prawns #charsiew

The siew yoke is super cripsy, a bit on the saltier side but super yummy. Roasted chicken is also very nice. All the staff are very attentive.

Good food with really friendly service. The wanton noodle was tasty and springy, homemade fishball and drinks were all good. But the chicken rice wasn’t the usual fragrant rice, was a bit weird. But overall very good

This is my go-to place for Wan Tan Mee. The noodles are always consistent and cooked perfectly. The dark sauce has just the right balance of taste to coat each part of the noodles. I usually top it off with Roasted Chicken but they have other options which are also very nice (Char Siew or Siew Yok). You can also come here for Chicken Rice if Wan Tan Mee is not your thing. Although it is usually crowded here, they recently renovated and the shop is bigger and able to accomodate more customers. The service is usually fast as well. Price is very reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend.

Slightly above average foods. Airconditioned diner. Chicken rice is just ok, nothing special. Siuyok nothing special, can get from a lot of places. Wantan mee is not bad, chewy. Charsiu is above average. Wantan is good. Drinks are ok, standard kopitiam level.

From 1 store then expanded into 2 stores, it definitely shows how good their business and food is xD During my first visit on PH around 12.30pm, siu yoke already out of stock, char siew left abit more and end up out of stock after my order haha The thing that amaze me would be their wantan mee, very doink doink and by far the best texture wantan mee I had which is well coated with the dark sauce Wantan is just like soup version of siu mai xD not too bad, with generous amount of pork fillings and whole prawn Roasted chicken is quite tender, the skin still have some crunch on it. Char siew is alright for the lean part, but the half fats part definitely melts in your mouth with good caramelisation. I did add on char siew for my noodle order. Lastly for the roasted pork on my 2nd visit, succulent texture, good flavor and crispy skin! I did add on roasted pork (RM3) as well but is never enough xD need add more portion on my next visit!! Hainan coffee and Cham is quite good as well, quite kaw and yet not too sweet Recommended for sure xD
